Unique Beaches
Benalmadena has almost 20 kilometers (12.5 miles approx.) of coast, sand
and palms that make a total of 13 beaches. All of them can be accessed through a seaside
stroll that crosses the entire municipality. There are restaurants, stores, and many other
commodities for the tourist. The Eastern beaches are very broad, with public facilities
and aquatic activities and the western beaches are rocky, calm and isolated amongst small
cliffs, ideal for fishing and diving. There's also one of the first nudist beaches of
spain, called "Benalnatura". |
Puerto Deportivo (Sport Port)
Originally known as "Puerto Marina" (Marine Port), it was
inaugurated in 1982 and has almost 1100 points of dockage. It lodges restaurants,
discotheques, luxurious real state, the "Club Nautico Maritimo de Benalmadena"
(Sea Club), the "Puerto Marina" Shopping Mall and the "Sea Life

Teleférico y Cumbre del Calamorro (Cablecar
and Calamorro's Summit)
It's a Cablecar that joints Arroyo de la Miel's Urban Center with the Calamorro's
Mount Top, at a height of 771 meters (2530 feet) over the sea and a total travel distance
of 5.565 meters (18257 feet). From the mount's top you can see the coast, the
mediterranean sea, and in clearer weather, the Rock of Gibraltar, and the African mountain
tops of the Atlas. |
Parque de atracciones y espectáculos Tívoli
World (Tivoli World Theme Park)
Since 1973, it offers not only mechanical rides, but various dancing, music and
humor shows. There's also Restaurants, expositions and theme plazas. |
Plaza de España (Spain Park)
The realization of "Plaza de España" of "Arroyo de la
Miel" took place in the 18th Century, when Felix Solesio built some houses for paper
company workers. The main distribution of the plaza and an arch made of stone at the
entreance are kept from this time. Even after a deep reconstruction its possible to
observe an old factory building and the Felix Solesio's Homenaje Statue. |
